According to a 2017 Oxfam report, the world's eight richest men are as wealthy as the poorest half of the entire global population. These new findings revealed that those living in poverty, in Asia in particular, have even fewer assets than previously thought. Despite the best efforts of the international development community, wealth inequality around the world is only getting worse.
