With your help, The Karen Hilltribes Trust has helped thousands of Karen villagers since its foundation in 1999.
Since 1999 The Karen Hilltribes Trust has:
- Raised over £2.5 million
- Provided access to clean water for 30,000 people in 110 villages all year round.
- Distributed 35,000 blankets to families to keep them warm at night when the temperatures plummet below freezing.
- Distributed 40,000 mosquito nets to protect villagers from malaria.
- Installed over 2,000 latrines benefitting 10,000 people.
- Arranged transport for 10,000 children so they can attend school.
- Helped 500 students attend university and vocational college.
- Repaired or built 36 irrigation systems bringing rice fields back into production.
Over 400 volunteers have been out to live with the Karen, helping to build water systems and teaching in schools.

Blankets & Nets
You helped us provide almost 35,000 blankets and 40,000 malaria nets for the Karen people.

Dormitories
You have helped us provide safe, secure and clean accomodation for almost 500 school children.

Latrines
Your help has meant we have installed over 2,000 latrines servicing over 10,000 people in many vilages.

School Buses
Your donations have helped us provide 20 buses so 400 school children get a good eduction.

University
You have helped us send over 200 students to University and provide 16 scholarships.


Clean Water
With your help we have installed almost 110 clean water systems cutting typhoid by 98%.

Food
With your generosity we have provided meals to over 2,000 school children that would have gone hungry.

Irrigation
Your kindness has helped us bring farm land back into production helping 4,500 people.

Teacher Training
With your help our education programme helps support teachers to teach English and Thai to children.

Tractors
Your kindness helped us buy a tractor that will ensure their farmland remains productive for 20 years.
