The Nick Spencer 70th Appeal

In August 2008 Nick Spencer, a long time supporter of the Trust, will be celebrating his 70th birthday in style. Rather than marking the start of his 8th decade with a party, he is attempting to climb two 7000 metre Himalayan peaks and raise a lot of money in the process - an adventure that would terrify most people half his age.

Nick has lived in South East Asia for over 30 years and wants to mark this milestone by raising a significant amount of money for charities working in the countries closest to his heart. Nick is personally donating $70,000 (£35,000) and hopes to triple this amount through sponsorship, which will be split evenly between KHT and The CAIRN Trust who help children in Nepal.
