40% of rural Mae Hong Son province are without a supply of clean drinking water. Villagers have to walk miles to find water that is free from chemical or animal waste pollution. Your donation can help us install a clean water system reducing disease such as typhoid by up to 90%!

Giving the Karen people access to a clean water supply is the first step to giving them chance of a better future. KHT has successfully installed 75 water systems in Karen villages since 1999 using an innovative gravity fed system devised by our Karen Manager. The systems are simple, cost effective and easy to maintain, providing villages with year round access to potable drinking water.
